Real Sound Lab announces change of CONEQ software protection practice and procedures

12/03/2009, Corporate news

Riga, Latvia – Today Real Sound Lab, audio R&D company commercialising its CONEQ technology for loudspeaker equalisation, has announced that commencing on April 1, 2009, it will introduce improvements to current software copy protection, resulting in changes to existing licence issuing procedures.

Director of Development of Real Sound Lab Atis Straujums gives a brief overview of the main developments on this: „As from the second quarter of 2009 Real Sound Lab will introduce the Syncrosoft hardware-based copy protection to all new releases of its professional software - CONEQ Workshop measurement software and all CONEQ equaliser plug-ins – VST (PC and Mac versions), RTAS and DirectX. We chose Syncrosoft protection for all our professional software products because Syncrosoft has the best track record with regards to security, and its hassle-free protection is well known to audio professionals. This solution will allow our clients to enjoy versatility of installing the software on numerous workstations and operating several software programs with one hardware key, if needed, including also products of other companies, e.g. Steinberg/Yamaha. Switching to Syncrosoft solution will mean a physical delivery of the hardware key and respective software installation CD, and the software will be operative immediately. The previous procedure of obtaining the licence file on-line will become obsolete, thus making all installation process independent from internet access. We hope that this change will make installation and running of CONEQ software much more user-friendly”, concludes Straujums.
