CONEQ is available in a software and hardware implementation to meet a wide range of needs for the consumer entertainment market.
CONEQ WORKSHOP software provides the computational power needed to acquire the hundreds of broad-band measurement points that drive CONEQ’s patented Acoustic Power Frequency Response measurement correction algorithms.
After acquiring and integrating the measurement points, CONEQ WORKSHOP generates a high resolution correction curve (typically 4096 points, but user-scalable to fit different needs). The resultant correction curve may be implemented entirely within the software and used directly from a PC. For example, if you’re running a disk-based recording or editing application, you may need nothing more than a CONEQ WORKSHOP, CONEQ P1 Equalizer or CONEQ A1 Equalizer and the PC that you’re already working with.
CONEQ provides many different possibilities that are designed to enhance specialized solutions. A few examples are listed below:
- CONEQ can integrate an air absorption loss curve into its corrective routine.
- It can compensate for frequency response error in a PC sound card.
- It can overlay a “house curve” or other compensation curve(s) on top of the basic CONEQ corrective algorithm.
- It can compensate for response irregularities in the measurement microphone.
- It can make one loudspeaker sound almost identical to another, and it can make loudspeakers of the same make and model sound absolutely identical to each other.
