REAL SOUND LAB has finished major live sound installation in SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH in the USA

Riga, Latvia - REAL SOUND LAB has finished major live sound installation in SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH in Houston, Texas!

SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH’s main worship centre has been undergoing major overhaul and renovation after the church was hit by the hurricane that passed through Texas in 2008. The main worship centre at the SECOND BAPTIST campus offers more than 7.000 seats.

Mark Sepulveda, technical director for SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH was introduced to the CONEQ™ technology during a demonstration in October 2008 and subsequently mentioned his wish to implement the CONEQ™ technology into the new sound system design for the main sanctuary. Once a budget for the new sound system was set, SECOND BAPTIST CURCH hired Barry Grzebik of the GDG Pro (Grzebik Design Group) from Petaluma, California to do the technical consulting and the system design.

Mr. Grzebik received a personal training on the CONEQ™ measurement system and implemented the CONEQ™ equalization into all the feeds for the main PA system. There are now a total of twelve channels of APEQ-2pro equalizing available for the system correction. After extensive listening and testing, JBL Vertec System was chosen for main PA, and during the installation process JBL also offered their services in helping to tune the system, once installed.

In the tuning process CONEQ™ had to compete with some highly skilled engineers who have tuned many systems in the past. All technical people involved agreed, that the result delivered by CONEQ™ exceeded any performance tuned by hand and ears so far, and thus it was decided to go with the CONEQ™ tuning. REAL SOUND LAB wishes to congratulate Mr. Sepulveda, Mr. Grzebik and the entire technical crew on their work and is thankful for the trust and support that has been put into the CONEQ™ technology.
