How to use CONEQ™

Aligning a sound system with CONEQ™ is a simple 3-Step process that can be readily learned by almost anyone.

Acoustic Power is a relatively untapped field that opens up a new dimension in system alignment. And at the forefront of this field is CONEQ. Our patented technology must truly be experienced first-hand to be fully understood. Test drive CONEQ today and discover how this incredible technology is truly changing everything in the world of audio.

1Initial measurement

CONEQ WORKSHOP software provides the test signal, a rapidly repeating swept-sine wave. The test signal is injected into the sound system from the output of your computer's sound card (or an outboard interface). The operator simply moves the measurement microphone slowly throughout the coverage pattern of the loudspeader system while the software acquires several hundred datum points. This process typically takes less than two minutes. Learn more...

2Correction curve

When the measurement process is completed, CONEQ WORKSHOP then interates the complex conjugate of the datum in approximately 30 seconds, producing a graph that depicts the true Acoustic Power Frequency Response of the sound source. Additional information is available in graphic form including the system' s Impulse Response, an Interference trace that aids in identifying measurement error, the response curve after Smoothing is applied, and the CONEQ WORKSHOP generated 4096 point Invert Correction Curve. The user may elect to limit the level to which CONEQ WORKSHOP provides response correction (selectable in dB), and that curve is displayed as well. Learn more...

3Result

The CONEQ WORKSHOP synthesized 4096 point correction filter can then be applied entirely within software - CONEQ P1 EQUALIZER, CONEQ A1 EQUALIZER, as in case of a PC based Recording/Playback system, or uploaded to a CONEQ profesional-grade dual channel Acoustic Power Equalizer - APEQ-2PRO. With either implementation, the sound system will produce astonishing results... way beyond what you might reasonably expect. Sonic realism, authenticity, musicality, and intelligibility are dramatically improved, while feedback, and other audible artifacts are greatily reduced. Learn more...
